What Will You Do in This Role?
As a Wound Nurse / Infection Control Nurse RN, you will be responsible for the community's general application of the skin management program. You will also be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and effective treatment to heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. As a Wound Nurse, you will be required to assess wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds. As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you are responsible for conducting rounds, discussing and monitoring infection prevention practices with staff members, collecting infection data from departments, maintaining records for each case of healthcare- associated infection, conducting outbreak investigation, training staff members on implementation of infection prevention practices, investigating incidents of infections and reporting such incidents to the appropriate person / department, and ensuring availability of supplies required for infection prevention activities.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing
Prior Wound Care experience required
Minimum of one year of experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC / SNF / AL / MC setting required
Professional image in both appearance and behavior
Excellent written and oral communication skills
