General Summary
The Infant / Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist (I-ECMHT) is responsible to provide infant / early childhood mental health therapy to support Marillac St. Vincent staff, children and families. The I-ECMHT will provide a broad range of services, including infant / early childhood mental health therapy in classrooms; training and coaching staff; screening, assessment and referral services; providing parent trainings. The I-ECMHT will collect data, maintain records, and support compliance in all facets of Federal and State regulations.
Responsibilities :
- General Classroom Observation, and Coaching (40%)
- Conduct classrooms observations by visit each classroom at least once per month.
- Provide child development information related to social-emotional development and mental health.
- Provide guidance to staff on selecting, implementing, and interpreting social-emotional screening and assessment tools and findings.
- Provide guidance and model developmentally appropriate activities for children and effective ways to work and support young children.
- Provide written and oral observations and strengths-based feedback to classrooms on an annual basis.
- Meet with classroom teams to review classroom observations. Develop and implement plans as needed.
- Staff Training (10%)
- Coordinate and provide staff trainings related to social-emotional and mental health issues at least one quarterly.
