Physician Supervision:
MarillacHealth follows Rule 400 by the Colorado Medical Board Rules and Regulations regarding the licensure of and practice by Physician Assistants. A Primary Physician Supervisor who works for MarillacHealth and is actively practicing medicine in Colorado will be assigned and registered with the Board as Primary Physician Supervisor for the Physician Assistant. Any physician who works for MarillacHealth may serve as secondary physician supervisors.
Job Summary:
Provides primary medical care services including general and preventive medical care for all ages ranging from newborn to geriatric, with exclusion of labor and delivery services for OB patients.
Essential Functions:
• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of MarillacHealth
• Provides primary medical care services including general and preventive medical care for patients of MarillacHealth including but not limited to outpatient clinic, convenience care clinic, and outreach clinics.
• Available to see adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients following any MarillacHealth protocols, policies, or procedures and under the supervision of MarillacHealth physicians.
• Available to see pregnant patients of MarillacHealth per OB Triage protocol. Labor and delivery services are excluded except in emergency situations.
• Meeting attendance is expected for All Staff meetings, Med Staff meetings, Provider meetings, pod meetings, and additional meetings as assigned.
• Works as a team member supportive of integrated health care including but not limited to behavioral health, dental, and optical services.
• Serves in a teaching capacity in the training and development of other healthcare personnel.
• Participates in provider on-call rotation providing triage services after hours as required.
• Ensures appropriate documentation and maintenance of medical records including use of electronic health records system.
• Assists in provider coverage for time off
• Participates in Peer Review as assigned.
• Supports MarillacHealth in meeting HRSA requirements, designated clinical Quality Measures, and other regulatory requirements.
• Adheres to safety and infection control protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Actively participates in PA Supervisory Plan as required by Colorado Medical Board (Rule 400).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:
• Master’s degree or equivalent education from an accredited PA program is required.
• Two years of related experience as a PA is preferred
• Holds and maintains without restrictions a Colorado license to practice as a PA, DEA license to prescribe medication, Life Support certification (BLS at minimum).
• Maintenance of Continuing Education as required by your PA credentialing board and state medical board.
Preferred Education/ Experience: Two years of related experience as a PA
Salary : $50 - $63
