2 OPENINGS !! BOTH OPENINGS REQUIRE MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION and 2 years EXPERIENCE working in private practice.
MEDICAL ASSISTANT opportunities for 2 separate Santa Monica-area Dermatology / Aesthetics practices. Both roles are hands-on clinical roles working directly with patients on medical and aesthetic procedures.
Duties for both openings:
- Work as the right hand of a practitioner in a high-profile medical office
- These roles are the primary contacts for the patients so must be open to handling or getting assistance with whatever they may need
- Assist practitioner during treatments handle blood draws and perform B-12 injections, wound care, stitch removal
- Assist with Mohs surgery
- Prepare rooms and supplies including surgical tray setup
- Discuss product and services with clients independent of practitioner
- Assist with injectables and laser skincare setup and procedures
- Become and remain current with all products and services to offer suggestions and answer questions
- Educate patients on what to prepare for before and after procedure
- Coordinate prescriptions, patient follow-ups and requests
- Support Front Office when needed with nursing calls or patient questions
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years' experience working as a Medical Assistant in a private practice
- Experienced assisting with skin checks, biopsies and other dermatological procedures highly desired
- Recent blood draw experience with a high level of proficiency in blood draw - will NOT train!!
- Strong work history required and references will be contacted
- Professional communication skills written and spoken, warm and friendly personality, ability to begin conversations with patients do develop rapport and comfort
- Natural presentation without the appearance of enhanced aesthetics
- Ability to work in a multi-practitioner BUSY office, prioritize tasks adjusting as needed
- Highly proficient in blood draw
Schedule, Compensation and Benefits:
- Monday - Friday 8:30a-5pm, - no working weekends!
- Competitive salary based on experience $23-27 ($27 possible ONLY for candidates with derm or aesthetics experience)
