Job Description
The Program Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities for after-school programs, youth camps, and special events. This includes developing and implementing curriculum, coordinating with staff and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with Boys and Girls Club policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- A.A. degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Development, or related field
- Verifiable progressive training/education in areas such as program leadership, staff/volunteer coordination, and technical skills
- Minimum 2 years experience working with youth recreation, education, or related field
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including children, elderly, physically and mentally disabled, and people with health problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
