We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to lead our cheer program. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and a strong background in sports coaching. The Cheerleading Coach will play a vital role in developing athletes' skills while fostering their love for the sport.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Teach cheerleading techniques, routines, stunts, and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to athletes during practices and competitions.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages participation, respect, and personal growth.
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of team members, addressing any behavioral management issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other coaches to promote the cheer program.
- Organize and oversee team events, including competitions and community appearances.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during practices and events.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in a coaching or educational capacity is preferred.
- Background in sports coaching or related fields such as swim, judo, basketball, or health club activities is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively within a team setting.
- Previous experience in childcare or youth programs is advantageous.
- Lifeguard certification is a nice-to-have but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
