Job Summary:
Marina 33 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to lead bar operations for the summer season. This role is responsible for overseeing the server team, maintaining high standards of service and product quality, managing inventory and ordering, and ensuring a clean, organized, and energetic bar environment. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, waterfront setting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Lead, train, and supervise bar staff to deliver exceptional guest service
· Oversee day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
· Ensure proper setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of the bar and surrounding area
· Monitor bar inventory and place timely orders for supplies, spirits, and beverages
· Maintain accurate liquor counts and secure all alcoholic products
· Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and end-of-shift reconciliation
· Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, health and safety standards, and sanitation guidelines
· Create and promote seasonal drink menus and specials in collaboration with the team
· Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
· Foster a positive team environment focused on accountability, communication, and guest satisfaction
· Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and lead a team under pressure
· Knowledge of bar inventory, ordering systems, and cost control practices
· Ability to handle conflict resolution and maintain a calm, professional demeanor
· Must be detail-oriented, organized, and customer-service driven
· Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Comfortable working in various weather conditions and temperatures.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
· Ability to perform physical tasks such as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, sitting, and carrying.
