What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Chief Engineer position at MARINA INN AT GRANDE DUNES?
SUMMARY
The Assistant Chief Engineer has the overall responsibility to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining all facets of the facility, required maintenance, provide hands on repair, as well as administrative duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Review all open work tickets daily. Review report with Chief Engineer weekly
- Achieve optimal operating efficiency of building equipment
- Assist Chief Engineer in coordinating daily operations of department
- Maintain a schedule of regular walk thru’s of the facility and issue work orders as required
- Maintain inventories of material in a secure and organized environment
- Ensure repair and maintenance is completed in a timely fashion. Communicate regularly with department areas in respect to their areas of responsibility.
- Share 24-hour emergency support with Chief Engineer and call-out shift coverage.
- Manage control of department budget.
- Perform all duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL – Preferred 2 year managerial experience (Hotel/HOA/Condo-tel)
EXPERIENCE – Preferred – Technical, Management, Customer Service, Mechanical aptitude
SKILLS – Technical, Strong interpersonal skills, written & oral communications, analytical skills, ability to perform well under pressure, moderate level skillset of facility maintenance, and moderate computer operation skills.
Work Conditions
PHYSICAL DEMAND - Ability to lift heavy objects, full functionally for long periods of time. Ability to climb, works in a prone position, access equipment from floor to ceiling, use computer and hand tools.
ANALYTICAL DEMANDS – Ability to figure out possible solutions to complex problems quickly
