Health Law Associate - Data Privacy & Security
Our client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking a highly-qualified associate with approximately 5 years' experience to join its Health Law Team. This is a hybrid position that can be based in Chicago, Minneapolis, or Washington DC.
Qualifications :
- Approximately 5 years of experience
- Meaningful technology and data privacy and security experience, including the ability to provide advice in the following areas : (1) state and federal privacy laws regulatory compliance; (2) data protection, management and security (including understanding data flows, data maps); and (3) incident response
- Familiarity with the health care industry strongly preferred
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with both lawyers and non-lawyers - inside and outside the firm
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state
