Healthcare Associate Attorney - Washington DC
Our client, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of legal experience to join their thriving Health Care practice in Washington DC.
The estimated salary range for this position is $235,000 - $310,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Job Responsibilities:
This position will work closely with the firm’s partners and associates to support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Advising health care clients in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and related compliance issues, including supplemental payment programs, value-based purchasing models and alternative payment arrangements
- Advising health care clients, including providers and/or health plans, in areas of Medicare and/or Medicaid managed care regulatory compliance and contracting issues
- Advising on applicable federal and state legislative, regulatory, and policy developments in the health care space
- Advising health care clients in the areas of business strategy and transactions
- Assisting health care organizations with the investigation of potential compliance issues and/or alleged instances of fraud, waste, or abuse
- Advising health care providers and plans with respect to physician contracting, HIPAA compliance, accountable care organizations, health care information technology and data, and corporate governance and tax exemption issues.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of regulatory, contracting and/or reimbursement experience in a law firm or in-house
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid compliance and reimbursement, including prior experience working with providers such as hospitals or health care systems and managed care plans on Medicare, Medicaid, and/or other federal and state health care regulatory issues
- Experience with regulatory, contracting and/or reimbursement in a law firm or in-house
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Superior time management skills
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Must be admitted to practice law in Washington DC
