What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Rep position at Marine Corps Association?
To assist in Customer Service with day-to-day operation of the Support Center by answering member, customer, and donor calls, and processing requests in a timely, professional, and efficient manner. A full knowledge of membership benefits, retail sales procedures, various database procedures and processes, customer support skills, and ability to effectively use ACD group system are requirements for this position.
This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment).
Schedule - Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Pay - $16.00/hr
Job Type - Full-time in-person
Requirements:- Respond to calls, chats, and emails in a polite and professional manner
- Process membership applications, updates, and payments daily.
- Process credit card and PDMAP applications within 3 business days of receipt.
- Prepare back start magazines for mailing (label, bundle, and bag)
- Process customer retail sales orders by accepting and processing orders over the phone, through paid mail, or generated by fax and online
- Answer questions on new and existing orders and memberships
- Accept payments for orders placed through the Counterpoint in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist in tracking of back orders to ensure that shipments have been made immediately upon receipt of goods
- Assist other customer service reps with overflow work, including data entry, and other tasks
- Process member personal information changes and requests for missed magazines
- Assist in solving problems related to missing and mis-shipped orders
- Stay informed of all specials, promotions, and membership benefits
- Protect the privacy of members, donors, and customer data and confidentiality
- Maintain knowledge of member benefits, affiliate partners, and promotions to support members.
- Assist in training of new personnel as directed by supervisor
- Other duties as may be assigned by Management
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma and 1-2 years data entry and customer service experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Meet established production and accuracy goals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and creative problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and muti-task
- Possess strong initiative and self-motivation
- Understanding of the Marine Corps Association, The Marine Shop and the Marine Corps preferred
Computer Skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to touch-type at least 40 words per minute
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to convert data to and from common file formats
- Knowledge of Counterpoint & Nimble software preferred
