Major Duties
MAJOR DUTIES:
Incumbent plans, organizes, coordinates and directs a comprehensive Youth Sports program. Serves as liaison with other military services, organizations, and local community. Ensures
sports grounds, athletic facilities and fields are properly prepared in accordance with the rules and regulation of the sport and league. Monitors a very extensive equipment issue program and
applies reasonable control measures to maximize usage of supplies and equipment. Conducts inventories of resources (uniforms, equipment, supplies) and ensures adequate storage and
maintenance. Examines assigned Youth Sports resources for defects.
Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Assists in preparation of supporting data for new plans and budget
requirement recommendations. Evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing competitive Youth Sports activities from the standpoint of resources, unforeseen developments, and program objectives.
Works to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers critical to the execution of the Youth Sports program. Monitors and supervises coaches in compliance with the National Youth Sports
Coaches (NYSC) policies and guidelines. Counsels and trains employees and volunteers; schedules and directs work, appraises work performance. Effectively supports the Marine Corps
Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, and other environmental issues and programs. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have three years' experience that demonstrates knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of Youth Sports program operations. Must
have experience with automated data processing procedures, audio visual aids and administrative correspondence. Must have experience in customer service and relations. Must
be able to work with little supervision. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
Ability to complete the National Youth Sports Coaches clinic-training program. Current or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid from
the American Red Cross. Must possess a valid drivers license and ability to obtain a government license. Able to operate a vehicle with a gross weight of 1 1/2 ton and 45 passenger
bus or larger vehicle as required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that
involve working with children under 18 years of age.
