What to Expect
Provides expertise, guidance, consultation and support on a wide variety of personnel issues to management officials, supervisors and employees in the area of personnel management.
Direct responsibility may include any combination of the following personnel functional areas; employee relations, staffing/recruitment, wage/classification, employee development, labor relations, employee benefits, etc.
Advises and assists management on a continuing basis to find sound solutions to problems in support of personnel needs of the organization.
Responsible for preparing personnel directives, special reports and correspondence.
Ensures that internal management control programs over personnel operations are in compliance with all current and applicable regulations.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
NOTE: This position may be designated as a non-critical sensitive position; therefore, must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Tier 3, Secret Clearance level background check.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resources or a related field appropriate to the work of the position AND four years of knowledge and experience in any combination or all of the following human resources functional areas: employee relations, staffing/recruitment, wage/classification, employee development, labor relations, employee benefits,
OR an appropriate combination of education and substantial human resources experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above,
OR substantial human resources experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.
One year supervisory experience.
Knowledge of NAF human resources policies and procedures preferred.
