Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! This position is located at MCAS YUMA, AZ . Candidates selected for this position will serve as a MICRO MARKET OPERATOR.

Major Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Receives, loads and unloads vending items for delivery to micro market locations. Drives vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 26,000 pounds over public roads at highway speeds under all traffic conditions to transport merchandise. Removes aged food or other merchandise from locations, replenishes merchandise and makes appropriate notations on required documents. Monitors brands and sale prices to ensure adequate stocking levels and compliance with approved selling prices. Cleans interior and exterior of machines to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations. May be required to make limited emergency repairs to vehicle and change tires. Complies with fire, safety and security rules, regulations or orders. Loads and unloads vehicles. Verifies products are loaded and delivered against various documents for accountability.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Experience that demonstrates knowledge of retail methods, practices and procedures. . Skill to read, write and accomplish accurate mathematical calculations. Knowledge of the height, width, length, and weight capacity of vehicle to load and operate safely. Ability to read and understand road maps and to determine shortest and safest route for both short and long routes. Knowledge and judgment sufficient to select alternate routes to avoid potential traffic problems and delays. Knowledge of state and local safety and traffic rules and regulations. Preferred skill to load and arrange cargo to prevent shifting, falling, breakage in vehicle and skill to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 pounds. May be required to operate a forklift. Driver's license is required.

RESPONSIBILITY: Stock micro market locations in accordance with prescribed procedures to ensure maximum sales potential. Works according to instructions from supervisor on route or specific trip assignment. Independently fills and cleans locations. Maintains security of product and product accountability at all times. Reports malfunctions of the micro market kiosk and equipment to the Services office. Completes documents associated with inventory control. Work is checked and evaluated for timeliness, adequate stocking of merchandise and the safe and accurate recording and transport of funds. Responsible for normal operator maintenance of vehicle.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Light to moderate effort is required in bending, stooping, lifting and stocking. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside and may be exposed to inclement weather conditions. Drives in all types of weather on public roads. Exposed to dirt, dust and the possibility of cuts and bruises. Must wear protective gear.

STEP 3 ¿ Military Spousal Preference may be requested for positions NF-3 and below, Crafts and Trades (NA, NL, NS), and Child & Youth (CY) positions. Spouses must meet the minimum qualifications posted in the job announcement. Spouse preference eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor¿s reporting date to the new duty location. Spousal Preference applicants hired in a flexible position will not lose their spousal preference eligibility until converted or hired into a regular full-time or part-time position or is within a 60 day period of receiving new PCS Orders. Military spouses shall receive MSP for each PCS move until such time as they accept or decline a continuing position.

Required Documents

Furnish a copy of the PCS order identifying a spouse¿s authorized move and the sponsor¿s reporting date to the new duty location. If the spouse is not listed on the PCS orders, the spouse must provide documentation (i.e. marriage certificate, valid military ID, etc.) verifying marriage prior to PCS orders (must have been married to the military sponsor before relocation to the new duty station).
