Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic applicant to complete a management trainee program with Marine Federal Credit Union in order to lead our current team and drive the success of our Wilmington branch. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in sales management within the banking or credit union sector. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional member service while effectively managing branch operations and fostering relationships with employees and members. Longstanding familiarity with the Wilmington area is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with banking regulations including TILA and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff to achieve sales goals and enhance member service.
- Implement effective sales strategies to promote financial products and services, focusing on upselling opportunities.
- Manage member relationships by providing tailored financial solutions that meet their needs.
- Monitor branch performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and secure banking environment.
- Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Preferred Experience and/or Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Excellent member service skills with a knack for relationship management.
- Familiarity with financial sales processes, debits, credits, and relevant banking/credit union regulations.
- Ability to analyze performance data and make informed decisions to drive branch success.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building rapport with members and employees alike.
With this management trainee opportunity, you will be provided with a thorough internal training schedule to become familiar with Marine Federal Credit Union, front line and back-office functions, operations, management view points, and Marine FCU policies and practices that affect each phase of business.
Travel to our Corporate HQ in Jacksonville, NC will be required to complete some phases of training and networking. This position offers an annual salary of $50,000. A full benefit package will be available after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
