This position reports to Field Service / Application Manager and will work from one of our Dometic sites within the Southeast region of the United States (Ashland, VA; Port St. Lucie, FL; Sarasota, FL)
About the position
As a Application Engineer in the Field Service team, you will provide technical expertise, manage OEM accounts, and lead complex system integration projects for Dometic Marine products, including Ride & Handling, Stabilization, Boat Living, and Mobile Power Solutions. This role supports OEM and Dealer sales efforts, ensuring successful product implementation and customer satisfaction.
Your main responsibilities
- System Design & Integration : Lead the technical design, customization, and integration of complex marine systems, ensuring product solutions meet customer needs and specifications.
- Technical Support & Consultation : Provide expert guidance to OEMs, assisting with product demonstrations, technical challenges, and system troubleshooting.
- Project Execution : Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Collaborate with internal teams and OEM customers to coordinate technical tasks and problem resolution.
- Sales Support : Work with the Regional OEM Sales Manager to support sales initiatives by delivering technical presentations and facilitating customer understanding of product benefits.
- Documentation & Compliance : Prepare technical documentation and ensure that projects meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing : Provide technical training, training content development, and support to internal teams and customers on product use, system integration, and troubleshooting.
- Voice to Engineer : Provide product application feedback into engineering that will drive engineering product improvement and innovation.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
