Job Title: Marine Dock Construction and Repair Technician
Location: Gainesville, GA
Reports To: Department Sales Manager/General Manager
Position Type: Full-Time (Nonexempt)
Job Overview: The Marine Dock Construction and Repair Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of docks, jet ski ports, and other infrastructures. The role involves working with various materials such as wood, steel, concrete, and composites to ensure the functionality and safety of waterfront structures. Technicians must inspect and troubleshoot issues like erosion, wear and tear, structural damage, and corrosion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that work is done safely, on time, and within budget
- Practices all safety procedures on job sites
- Ability to work with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner
- Ensure all paperwork is properly completed and turned in daily
- Secures all job materials to the trucks, trailers, and boat
- Follows instructions for building and installing products that meet quality standards
- Assist other work areas moving, loading, and unloading materials
- Follows all boating laws and regulations on the lake
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in construction or hardscaping preferred.
- Valid driver's license required for drivers.
- Ability to travel for installations, repairs, call backs, or as needed for day-to-day operations.
Work Environment:
- The ability to work independently in outdoor environments, often with minimal supervision, strong physical endurance, good communication skills, adaptability to different locations, and a willingness to travel
