What are we looking for?
Marine Travelift is excited to be adding a Mechanical Engineer to our team in Sturgeon Bay, WI. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the development and improvement of our custom lifting machines. You will also design mechanical components as well as improve product processes using computer-aided drafting tools (SolidWorks).
As a Mechanical Engineer with us, you will
- Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new and existing products.
- Generate working prototypes and testing processes for new products.
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.
- Understand manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, material requirements, and other pertinent information to facilitate the production processes.
- Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to continue product development.
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
- Ensure project timelines are met and help keep the project within budget.
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

- Have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Have a firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products.
- Put your math skills to use: be able to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
- Have experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Be detail oriented and have good organizational skills.
- Have good interpersonal skills with ability to identify and maintain confidentiality as applicable.
