What are we looking for?
ExacTech in Sturgeon Bay, WI is excited to be adding a full time Steel Grinders to our 1st shift team. As a Steel Grinder, you will operate grinding machines and equipment to shape, finish, and polish steel and metal components.
1st shift: Monday-Thursday: 5:45AM-3:15PM; Friday: 6:45AM-10:45AM
As our Steel Grinder, you will
- Set up and prepare grinding machines for operation. You will then operate grinding machines to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and achieve precise dimensions according to blueprints or specifications.
- Inspect steel and metal components for defects, imperfections, or irregularities before grinding.
- Maintain records of work completed, including measurements, specifications, and any issues encountered during the grinding process.
- Perform minor repairs or adjustments to keep machines in optimal working condition.
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
We are looking for you to
- Understand safety procedures and proper PPE usages.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Have the physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
