Job Responsibilities
- A/P and G/L accounting duties with accurate coding, posting, and data entry of financial data
- Serve as backup for the biweekly A/P vendor check runs
- Produce and maintain system reports related to Accounting activities
- Complete daily transactions in the company’s ERP system, including coding, data entry and posting of financial data including G/L journal entries and A/P vouchers
- Assist with month end financial close procedures including account reconciliations and other required reporting
- Complete tax reporting including preparation of 1099’s and state sales tax returns
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of discrepancies
- Ensure financial data security by following internal financial control policies and procedures
- Work on special costing projects as applicable for other internal departments
- Provide occasional assistance with organizational support functions as a secondary backup
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
- 2-year degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred
- Knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of accounting with the ability to read, analyze and interpret various business documents related to financial transactions
- ERP system knowledge, experience, or previous training desired.
- Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple demands
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to identify and maintain confidentiality as applicable
