Fraser US Marketing Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Working as part of the US Marketing Team, you will gain key experience across all aspects of marketing as well as within the world of yachting. 

The US Marketing Intern will be working closely with the US Marketing Manager to assist in the planning and execution of yacht industry events such as the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show or the Palm Beach International Boat Show to help ensure that marketing activities run smoothly, as well as work closely with the Website and Marketing Specialist in the preparation and maintenance of the website. 

Using some initial experience in marketing you will assist the team in a variety of projects across multiple channels and platforms including event organization, social media, website updates, newsletters, analytics and reporting, and branding projects. 

The successful candidate will be an extremely organized person who is well-rounded and enjoys all aspects of marketing. This a temporary position onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

General Marketing Support

Work closely with the whole marketing team on an ad hoc basis when required for specific projects/clients including marketing administration and organizational tasks, reporting, research and coordination, merchandise management event planning and preparation, and digital and social media. Assist with other ad hoc marketing duties upon request.

Events

Supporting the development and planning of all events that Fraser takes part in in the US including boat shows, open days, etc. Assist with the creation of boat show materials including brochures, signage, gift bags, etc. Registering and distributing tickets and credentials for major events. Researching and presenting options for potential vendors.

Social Media

Work with the Digital Marketing Strategist help collate the material for social media posts for Fraser’s US fleet and US events across all social media channels and assist with the scheduling of posts when needed.

Digital and Content Marketing 

Work with the Marketing and Website Manager to help collate the material for the company website. Regularly update the website with new images and content in appropriate sections. Assist with managing website updates and new page creation. 

Marketing Reports

Work with the marketing team to provide reporting of all yachts in the US fleet for the relevant Owners Reports.

JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Must be able to remain in a sedentary position for long periods of time 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as printer and copy machine 
• Occasionally moves, transports, positions and removes equipment weighing up to 15kg for boat show materials when needed 
• Ability to work afterhours and/or weekends during Yacht Shows and for occasional urgent requests 
• Ability to attend Fraser Yacht Shows and open house events when needed

Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent recognized Marketing certification or equivalent work experience
• Previous internship or work experience in marketing or a related field 
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite 
• Should be able to provide references and demonstrate previous achievements
