OVERVIEW: The Assistant Superintendent will support the senior project staff in the planning, implementation, execution, and oversight of construction projects. This role is integral in ensuring that all project tasks are completed efficiently, within schedule, and in alignment with the company's standards. The Assistant Superintendent will foster effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a safe and well-organized jobsite. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality and safety on the project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the General Superintendent in overseeing daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in line with the project schedule.
- Review and interpret contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and addenda, and report any deficiencies or concerns to the General Superintendent.
- Assist in the development of on-site procedures and coordinate with the project team to refine the construction program, including safety protocols, equipment, and manpower needs.
- Ensure that all work meets the company’s standards for quality, safety, and performance.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and safety meetings with subcontractors and document meeting minutes for the Project Manager.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, including subcontractors, owners, inspectors, and the design team, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor job-site safety and conduct visual inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Oversee the preparation of daily project documentation, including timecards, field reports, and progress updates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically marine construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents and ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and other technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions on active job sites.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and OSHA 30 certification.
- Willingness to travel across Florida and/or the Southeast United States as needed.
