What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Network Support Specialist position at Mariner Holdings?
We are currently seeking strong candidates for a full-time Network Support Specialist position in our Overland Park, Kansas headquarters. This candidate will facilitate multiple verticals by supporting infrastructure and network configuration management to ensure information security and scalability. As a Network Support Specialist, you will also be working in conjunction with our locations across the country to facilitate upgrades and new technology implementation.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of network infrastructure per guidance of Manager
- Travel to sites to install network equipment (15%)
- Handle escalated tickets from help desk as it pertains to network troubleshooting
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Document issues and tickets clearly and concisely
- Work with remote vendors to install, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment
- Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership
- Regular firmware patching on all network devices
- Mergers and Acquisition experience a plus
Qualifications
- Network Certification
- 2-3 years’ experience with basic-level networking and troubleshooting
- Prior experience in a multi-site company
- Financial firm experience a plus
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience working in a quickly moving, dynamic environment
- Critical thinking strengths to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, YouTrack
- Excellent troubleshooting proficiencies, knowledge of WireShark
- Time management competencies with the capability to prioritize and multi-task as needed
- Basic\Semi-Advanced switch and router management (Cisco, FortiGate)
- Meraki Wireless Networking experience a plus
- Foundational knowledge in DHCP, DNS, and the OSI model a must
