Job Description
The Hosted Here Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistical and operational aspects of the ministry to ensure efficient execution of outreach programs in nursing homes, homeless shelters, military bases, senior living communities, youth facilities, and healthcare centers.
This role ensures that Hosted Here events run smoothly, supplies and resources are managed effectively, and internal processes support the ministry’s mission to bring church to people in underserved environments, reporting to the Hosted Here Pastor on the Hosted Here team. A full time position, the schedule generally includes services during the week at the various locations (will include nights and weekends), meetings at our office in Irvine, and additional time during the week for a total of 40 hours.
Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Develop and oversee logistical plans for Hosted Here gatherings, ensuring all materials, technology, and resources are available and set up efficiently.
- Manage scheduling, transportation, and coordination of supplies for each location.
- Establish best practices and scalable processes to streamline ministry operations.
Event and Facility Logistics
- Ensure venues are set up appropriately for services, considering space constraints and environmental factors.
- Maintain relationships with facility leadership to ensure smooth execution of gatherings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site logistical challenges.
Resource and Budget Management
- Manage inventory of supplies, including Bibles, communion materials, sound equipment, and volunteer resources.
- Oversee ministry budgets, track expenses, and ensure stewardship of financial resources.
- Work with vendors and partners to secure necessary resources cost-effectively.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with the Discipleship and Volunteer Manager to align operational needs with ministry goals.
- Support the Sales/Admin Relations team by providing logistical solutions for new and existing facility partnerships.
- Ensure all ministry gatherings adhere to Mariners Church policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in operations, logistics, or event management is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team.
- Comfortable working in diverse environments, including nursing homes, shelters, and healthcare facilities.
- Passion for ministry and a heart for serving underserved communities.
- Ability to lift and transport materials as needed.
Physical Demands
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
