Job Description Summary:
The Transport Aide performs activities related to transportation of patients and lifting assistance
of patients as directed. May run errands, transport supplies, equipment, loose traction, reprocessed
items, and assist with cleaning related duties. The Transport Aide assesses all transfer orders for
safety considerations, including techniques and level of assistance needed, acting as a resource and
support to the nursing care team.
Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE
1 year (1040 hours) or more of documented previous experience as a Nursing Assistant,
Hospital Technician, Emergency Room Technician, patient care transport position
in an acute care setting, or one year of experience in Environmental Services
Department at Marin General Hospital.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Required at hire
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire

- Completion of a Nursing Assistant program, Emergency Medical Technician,

- Ability to communicate clearly, work tactfully and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, team members and other hospital staff
