What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher - Early Learning Center position at Marion Academy?
At Marion Academy’s Early Learning Center, we strive to give our students an early start to their education through Christ-centered experiential learning, led by loving hands and tender hearts. Our teachers are held to a high standard of godliness, ethics, and behavior in order to best set an example for the children under our care. We are an early learning center; we are a team; but above all, we are all children of God.
The ELC is seeking part-time teachers for our Sprouts (18 months - 2 ½ years) classroom and our Saplings (2 ½ - 4 years) classroom. Part-time hours are divided into a morning shift (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) and afternoon shift (12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.).

- Pay: $8 per hour, distributed on the last business day of the month
Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be able to pass a federal background check
- Be able to clear the Child Abuse & Neglect Registry check
- Have a valid photo ID
- Reliable transportation
- Be able to pass a TB test
- Be able to read and adhere to the Department of Human Resources’ Minimum Standards for Daycare Centers
- Be able to read and adhere to the Faculty/Staff Handbook
Preferred
- Experience in early childhood education
- Associates degree in early childhood education or development
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
