REPORTS TO : MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS DIRECTOR
POSITION SUMMARY : The Social Worker will work as a collaborative team member with District staff, school staff, and community partners to remove barriers to student academic performance, educational access, and overall well-being.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : L-Light Work – Required to push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
- A Master’s or higher degree with a graduate major in social work that includes three hundred hours or more of field placement in a K-12 school setting from a program accredited by the National Council on Social Work Education or accredited by the National Council of Social Work Education or accredited in accordance with the provisions of Rule 6A4.003, FAC. or a...
- Master’s or higher degree with a graduate major in social work that includes three-hundred hours or more of field placement with diverse individuals in a community setting other than a prekindergarten, an elementary, or a secondary school.
Experience – Experience in the role of school social worker preferred.
Computer Skills – Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as required for the position.
Certificates and / or License(s) – Florida Department of Education Certification in school Social Work.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,556
