We are looking to fill our Summer Camp Counselor positions. This is a temporary summer job that will last approximately 9 weeks over the summer.
Position: Summer Camp Counselor
Qualifications : At least 16 years of age, unless employed through a Summer Youth Employment program. Desire to help others, team spirit and ability to follow instructions
Supervisor: Summer Camp Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Listen and follow directions.
- Help whenever you see a need and do your best.
- Speak in a positive up beat manner. NEVER use punishment.
- Be responsible for campers assigned to you. Know where your campers are.
- Be on time.
- Use the English language correctly.
- Praise desirable behavior. Be a good role model.
- Report to your supervisor any inappropriate behaviors.
- Provide supervisor with feedback concerning progress or problems with children’s activities.
- Obtain permission and schedule absences one week in advance.
- Implement CPR/First Aid when required. Report all emergencies to supervisor.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, if needed.
- Assist in activity planning.
- Supervise individual and small group activities.
- Participate in daily clean-up and storage of materials.
- Report any concerns of well being of the children to the camp supervisors.
- Maintain camp confidentiality.
- Fill out time sheets.
- Perform all other related work duties assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
