This is a temporary position, that will last for approximately 10 weeks over the summer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a Summer Camp director during the 8-week operation of Summer Camp.
• Develop a schedule of day camp activities and make all arrangements necessary to enable children to participate.
• Purchase camp supplies and keep an itemized sheet to maintain record of camp expenditures and monitor annual camp budget.
• Supervise day camp staff and give each member individual assignments for recreational activities, bus supervision, program activity planning, and clean up.
• Prepare daily transportation schedule along with camp bus driver. Communicate transportation schedule and bus rules to day camp staff, children, children’s parents, Camp Supervisor and Executive Director.
• Maintain good communication with Camp Supervisor, children’s parents, residential facilities and camp staff. Provide parents and residential facilities with transportation.
• Assist Camp Supervisor with providing orientation and training to all day camp staff and volunteers to include general overview of developmental disabilities, CPR/First Aid, day camp philosophy and goals, specific activities, and transportation schedules and information unique to individual children enrolled in the summer camp program.
• Assist Camp Supervisor with interviewing applicants for employment such as camp counselors, if needed.
• Meet with the Camp Supervisor weekly to discuss program and personnel related issues. Report all staff related problems and concerns to Camp Supervisor and/or Executive Director.
• Review all timesheets and collect all employee expense vouchers of day camp staff, for submission to Camp Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Executive Director.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
