What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Wrap and Accessories Technician position at Marion County Sheriff's Office?
This Fleet Wrap & Accessories Technician is primarily responsible for the design, drafting, creation, application and repair/replacement of decals, vehicle wrapping and window tint on agency vehicles and assisting with the installation/removal of vehicle accessories as needed.Duties:
A. Abide by the "Law Enforcement Code of Ethics."
B. Acquire measurements and photos for project planning.
C. Use software to create preliminary drafts, final wrap product, printing, laminating and cutting.
D. Vehicle preparation, vinyl application or removal, vinyl lettering, and other digital print applications (i.e. signs)
E. Properly install/remove window tint on different types of vehicles.
F. Inspect completed wraps for quality and consistency, making necessary adjustments or corrections to meet high standards.
G. Maintain wrapping equipment, tools and perform minor repairs or replacements as needed.
H. Maintain adequate inventory, by ordering supplies of necessary materials, tools and equipment.
I. Ability to troubleshoot issues with wrapping equipment.
J. Attend schools, training or seminar required to maintain the requisite knowledge and skill to keep abreast with current applied technology.
K. Assist other Fleet personnel as necessary.
L. Be alert for conditions or situations which inhibit efficient operation of the Fleet/Radio shop and make recommendations for solutions.
M. Perform other duties, as assigned, including modified schedule or temporary re-assignment during a declared emergency or activations, as determined by the Sheriff.JOB PREREQUISITES:
High School Diploma or GED.
Working knowledge of software including Photoshop, lightroom, Flexi or similar software.
Ability to work with specialized tools, materials and on a variety of vehicle types and sizes.
Experience as a vehicle wrapper, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work, is preferred.
Physical agility to stoop, bend, climb, and reach while working with wrap materials.
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language.

Must be able to follow instructions.
Familiarity with wrapping tools and equipment, including heat guns, cutting tools, and squeegees.
Creativity and an eye for design, with the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing vehicle wraps.WORKING CONDITIONS:
Both indoor and open shop environments. Requires stooping, bending, and reaching when installing material and accessories on vehicles. Normal daytime hours, but may be required to work overtime when necessary.
