We’re a creative, women-owned interior design firm based in Austin, TX, specializing in high-end design-build homes. Our small but mighty team is passionate about beautiful, functional spaces—and we’re looking for someone equally amazing to support us behind the scenes.
The Role:
We’re on the hunt for a detail-loving, spreadsheet-savvy Bookkeeper/Accountant who’s just as comfortable reconciling credit card charges as they are admiring a perfectly styled living room. This is a part-time, super flexible, work-from-home role with occasional in-person meetups in Austin as needed.
Whether you already know Studio Designer or are excited to learn it, this is your chance to work with a team that values creativity, collaboration, and clear numbers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Keeping Us Organized Financially
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Manage accounts payable & receivable
- Track client deposits, retainers & project expense
Working in Studio Designer (or Learning It!)
- Use Studio Designer to handle invoicing & tracking
- If you’re not familiar, no worries—we’ll get you up to speed!
Crunching the Numbers
- Prep and analyze P&L statements
- Help us understand cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
Project Support
- Assist with final invoicing and project closeouts
- Review WIP reports and help assess profitability
Tax & Compliance
- Sales tax prep and filings
- Track and file quarterly tax payments
- Keep 1099/W-9 paperwork on point
Team Support
- Communicate clearly and proactively
- Collaborate on financial processes
- Join us in person now and then to review reports and chat business
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have a solid background in accounting, design or construction experience is a plus
- Are crazy-organized, detail-obsessed, and good with numbers
- Enjoy flexible, self-managed work
- Have a passion for design (or just love beautiful things!)
- Can commit to a few hours a week, with the option to scale as needed
- Have reliable transportation for the occasional in-person meeting
Nice to Have (But Not Required):
- Experience with Studio Designer
- Familiarity with design industry lingo
Compensation:
- Hourly rate based on experience
