Mariposa Landscape Arizona is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at our Glendale, AZ location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various vehicles and equipment used in our landscaping operations. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet remains in optimal condition, supporting our mission to provide outstanding service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on landscaping equipment, construction equipment, arborist equipment, trucks, and trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs
- Ensure all equipment is safe and in working condition
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance schedules
- Must be able to perform DOT BIT inspections and federal inspections
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies
- Ability to open and close work orders accurately using the software
- Utilize computer skills, information technology, and MS Office applications effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and company quality standards.
- Able to work Weekends
- Open to overtime when needed
Requirements
- Experience as a mechanic (landscaping, automotive, or small engine preferred)
- Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must have and maintain good standing driving record
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Basic welding experience, non-structural
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
