Bar Maritime is looking for a hardworking and dependable Barback to support our bar team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Maritime is a casual seafood bar and cocktail, where we elevate the service and selections of a traditional dive bar while keeping things welcoming, approachable, and fun.
As a Barback, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the bar running smoothly by ensuring it’s stocked, clean, and organized. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Stock & Replenish: Keep the bar fully stocked with glassware, ice, garnishes, and supplies.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Clear tables, wash glassware, wipe down bar areas, and keep things tidy.
- Assist Bartenders: Prep garnishes, retrieve bottles, restock ingredients, and anticipate bar needs.
- Monitor Inventory: Track stock levels and communicate with management.
- Engage with Guests: Greet guests and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle Beverages: Replace kegs and restock beer, wine, and spirits.
- Follow Safety Standards: Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Prior bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items (e.g., kegs) and stand for long periods.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
