Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for Excel-based financial analysis and strong technical accounting background. They are also responsible for managing complex financial reporting processes and working with large datasets, leveraging advanced Excel functions, and utilizing Power Query to automate data transformations and reporting tasks.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP).
- Lead and manage the financial reporting close and consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and ensuring proper treatment of intercompany transactions across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with cross-functional teams including accounting, FP&A, treasury and external auditors.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models and dashboards to track key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for various financial accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting principles.
- Manage and streamline the monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external parties on tax and compliance management.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement and enforce strong internal controls over financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of board-level presentations and ad-hoc financial analyses as requested.
- Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending process improvements when necessary.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial reporting or a similar role, with a strong technical accounting background.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and macros.
- Proven experience with Power Query for data transformation, automation, and report generation.
- Experience with intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and consolidation of financial results from multiple global entities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
