Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and enhancing the patient experience through your technical skills and customer service. Our office is located inside Costco, this position is NOT with Costco--we are an independent Optometry office.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Verify vision insurance eligibility.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Eye Cloud Pro software daily usage.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care and usage.
- Filing, preparing charts, copying, faxing.
- Assist in maintaining a clean office and equipment.
- Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure a seamless patient flow within the office.
- Performs other duties within the office as requested and as time allows.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an optometry setting preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co-workers and patients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
- High School Diploma or GED.
