General Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License
- Experience as an interpreter for the hearing impaired preferred
- Demonstrated basic understanding of and use of major sign language systems (Signed English, American Sign Language) with special emphasis on Signed English
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to use basic computer skills, keyboarding, Microsoft Word
Reports to
- Building Administrator
Terms of Employment
- 180-day position with wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and the Danville Education Association
