Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection : Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues and determine their cause.
Repair and Maintenance : Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, and air conditioning.
Diagnostic Testing : Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate vehicle problems and make accurate diagnoses.
Replace Parts : Remove and replace worn or damaged parts to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Documentation : Maintain clear and thorough documentation of all repair and maintenance tasks performed.
Customer Consultation : Provide excellent customer service by explaining vehicle issues and the necessary repairs to clients.
Safety Standards : Follow all safety protocols and standard operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on the latest automotive technology trends and best practices for vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
Certification : ASE certified technician and / or GM Certified Technician is preferred.
Experience : Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance, especially in a dealership setting.
Technical Skills : Deep understanding of vehicle systems including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Problem-solving : Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues efficiently.
Communication : Effective communication skills to work with team members and explain issues to customers.
Physical Stamina : Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting heavy parts and tools.
License : Valid driver's license is required.
Availability : Flexibility to work during dealership hours, including weekends.
