Job Description
As an Area Manager at MCS Building Solutions, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance and retention of our commercial janitorial accounts. You will oversee the quality assurance processes, inspections, staffing, and service needs to ensure that all facilities are maintained according to our clients expectations. In combination with the Director of Operations, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring compliance with service agreements and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Retention and Relationship Management:
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of services and identify areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff to foster long-term partnerships and ensure high retention rates.
- Ensure that client concerns are addressed promptly, and any issues are resolved efficiently.
2. Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality control for all assigned accounts, ensuring that janitorial services meet or exceed company standards.
- Perform monthly audits and assessments to ensure compliance with service agreements and cleanliness standards.
- Document and report findings from inspections and audits, recommending corrective actions when needed.
3. Staffing and Service Coverage:
- Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure that service requirements are consistently met and that no gaps in coverage occur.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet the demands of clients, including recruiting, training, and managing staff as needed. Work with the recruiting department to hire qualified staff for various accounts and resolve staffing issues as they arise.
- Oversee the allocation of resources and equipment to ensure staff have what they need to perform their duties efficiently.
4. Service Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure cleaning compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of services provided, ensuring that all client needs are being met.
5. Client Communication and Problem Resolution:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, proactively addressing any concerns or feedback to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure that all service needs are fulfilled and staffing levels are adequate.
- Assist in coordinating the implementation of any special projects, or changes to client expectations.
6. Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess service processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure staff is properly trained on best practices and company policies.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- 2 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or related field, with a proven track record in account management and customer service.

- Experience in janitorial services or commercial cleaning, preferred.

Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to assess and improve service quality standards.

- Ability to analyze client needs and adjust services accordingly.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in facilities management or a related field preferred.
