Mark S. Gottlieb, CPA (MSG), is a boutique forensic accounting firm that is dynamic, innovative, and entrepreneurial. For over thirty years, our team has set the standard for excellence in the areas of business valuation, economic damage analysis, forensic accounting, and litigation support. In applying our investigative expertise to analyze persons, entities, and financial data, our goal is to provide relevant insights for our clients’ mission-critical needs.
Responsibilities
- Review financial data to identify inaccuracies and trace discrepancies
- Perform penetrative forensic analyses of historical financial information
- Prepare independent expert reports for complex litigation and valuation matters
- Review revenue and expense projections
- Assess losses and potential damage awards
- Work closely with attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of prior experience working in either a boutique forensic accounting firm or a forensic practice in a mid-to-large-sized accounting firm (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA (strongly preferred)
- CFE or CFF (preferred)
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction and/or guidance
- An advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools
- Creative approach to problem solving
- Mature analytical ability
- Ability to organize workload and appropriately prioritize tasks to meet crucial deadlines and work objectives
