Job Overview
Cashiers at Mark’s are often the first and last contact for customers entering and leaving the store. They are responsible for completing customer transactions with exceptional customer service and proper money handling, providing store and product location and information to customers in the store and on the phone, and referring customers to Sales Associates or other individuals as needed to help locate products and answer questions.
Cashiers are also expected to complete general housekeeping tasks, maintain product displays in the cash register area and other assigned areas, as well as merchandising and stocking products as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
-Greeting customers
-Helping customers with questions and requests
-Answering and directing phone calls
-Completing customer transactions with proficiency and accuracy
-Money handling, opening and closing cash drawers, and preparing deposits
-General cleaning tasks
-Knowing the store layout and product locations
-Merchandising & stocking products as directed
-Understanding and following all company policies and procedures
Skills and qualifications
-Strong customer service and written and verbal communication skills
-Basic math skills, including the ability to make change and count money
-General knowledge of computers
-Attention to detail & ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Previous experience in a customer service role
-Flexible availability that meets our typical scheduling model for cashiers
Schedule
-Cashiers are scheduled Monday-Friday and every other weekend on a rotating basis.
-Shifts typically rotate between three main time blocks, opening, mid, and closing shifts. The hours of each shift vary depending on the season.
-Full-time positions are typically scheduled an annual average of 35 hours per week, Part-time an annual average of <35 hours per week.
