Job Description
The Pediatric Speech Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development, as well as experience working with a diverse pediatric population. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and a patient-centered approach to therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to children with various communication disorders.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
- Educate and support families in understanding their child’s communication needs and therapy strategies.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and integrate new techniques into practice.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
