Mark Thomas is hiring a motivated individual interested in furthering their career in the A / E / C industry as our Business Development Manager for the Bay Area Region. The role of a Business Development Manager is to drive the identification of business opportunities, provide ongoing leadership and expertise for the development of new business, and strengthen current business relationships. This position works closely with the New Business Director and regional leaders to present a unified business development program based on the identified strategic new business initiatives and current range of services offered by Mark Thomas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuously researches potential business opportunity leads through professional and public resources
- Notifies key members of leadership of potential business opportunities within a timeframe that will allow a timely and strategically appropriate response
- Leads project teams in positioning process, and develops and monitors pursuit strategies, capture plans, and tactical action plans
- Provides monthly reports on new and ongoing regional business opportunities
- Networks and develops a presence at industry events, trainings, and conferences
- Identifies and forms relationships with teaming partners
- Partners with Mark Thomas Marketing Team to review proposal and qualifications packages, and participates in interview preparation with project teams
- Collects client satisfaction data through ongoing surveys and debriefs and shares results with management

The base annual compensation range for this position is $86,000 - $160,000. The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) is based on individual education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The selected candidate will be subject to a criminal background check following the extension of a conditional offer. Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
