Named after a particularly radiant grouping of galaxies, Markarian combines celestial romanticism with timeless design and modern grace. Designed and manufactured in New York City, the brand is committed to fine craftsmanship and supporting the New York Garment Center.
We are seeking a Sales Lead to drive sales and deliver an unparalleled client experience across our Ready-to-Wear and Bridal categories. This role is ideal for a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for luxury fashion, exceptional client relationship skills, and a keen understanding of garment construction and styling.
This is full-time, in-person role based at Markarian's office in the Flatiron District of New York City. Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and build strong client relationships across Ready-to-Wear and Bridal
- Conduct private client appointments, offering expert styling and product knowledge
- Guide clients through the semi-custom process to create unique, personalized pieces
- Manage client orders, ensuring seamless follow-ups, communication, and order tracking
- Curate a luxury client experience, ensuring every touchpoint aligns with Markarian’s elevated standards
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all orders and alterations, maintaining detailed records
- Maximize showroom presentation, ensuring products are impeccably displayed and samples are well-maintained
- Proactively grow the private client business, identifying opportunities to increase sales and client engagement
- Capture and maintain client data to drive repeat business and customer loyalty
- Resolve customer inquiries with a solutions-driven approach, ensuring an exceptional experience
- Maintain strong product knowledge, particularly in fabrications, fit, and styling for special occasions
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in luxury fashion and/or bridal sales
- Proven ability to drive sales and build lasting client relationships
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for luxury fashion, styling, and private client services
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, solutions-driven attitude with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Experience with Shopify is a plus
- Understanding of garment construction, alterations, and fabrications is a plus
