The Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager has primary responsibility for overseeing the project intake and governance processes for our portfolio, as well as managing individual projects of small to medium size and complexity. The Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager will ensure the project produces the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits, using the appropriate methods and tools. The Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager will manage projects from original concept through final implementation/warranty, managing stakeholder involvement, customer satisfaction and customer impact throughout, using established governance standards and processes.

What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitate initial project scoping and feasibility assessments including requirements gathering and options analysis.
- Responsible for coordinating the intake process for new project requests and portfolio management pipeline.
- Monitor governance frameworks to ensure consistent project management practices across the portfolio.
- Monitor and report on project performance including progress, outcomes, benefits, and risks of each project and the portfolio as a whole, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the project team - ensuring sponsors and key stakeholders are aware of status, risks and issues, critical dependencies, and impact of changes and key decisions.
- Investigates, manages, and applies authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with project change request process.
- Accountable for managing the project budget and project Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA).
- Collates required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision making on projects.
- Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
- Occasionally required to work late evening and weekends as needed.
- May travel up to 10% as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or apprenticeship and/or equivalent experience
- PMP or PMI-ACP certification a plus
- Insurance certifications or affiliation with industry group a plus
- 3 years’ experience as a project manager, ideally gained in either an insurance or insurance related business
- Knowledge of centralized project portfolio management systems
- Knowledge and experience of Agile delivery methodology desirable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven stakeholder management and written and oral communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem solving sills, with ability to identify and resolve issues with some guidance
- Ability to identify dependencies impacting current work assignments
- Proven collaborative skills and excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
- Displays attention to detail and ability to produce concise and accurate work
- Strong desire for continuous improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project
