Job Description:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve targeted profitability goals
- Lead regional underwriting teams to ensure effective execution of best practices

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of underwriting experience with at least 5 years in Life Sciences. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required. The role requires strong leadership skills, collaboration, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Markel offers a competitive salary range of $175k-$225k and a bonus potential of up to 55%. We also provide comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
