We serve both public and private clients, with a primary focus on the following markets : Civic, Commercial, Education, Healthcare / Senior Living, Industrial, and Multifamily Residential / Mixed Use.
What we are looking for :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator who will help prepare and / or coordinate complete estimates of medium to large size and complexity. This position provides complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex Construction Management and Design-Build work or complete total bid price for General Contracting work. Ideally we are looking for someone with industrial experience!
Position Summary :
- Reads and understands plans and specifications for a variety of projects.
- Provides accurate quantity take-off of materials necessary to construct the project as presented in plans and / or specifications.
- Provides analysis of labor and equipment necessary to perform portions of the work by Marker forces and conveys this information to management for go / no-go decisions.
- Provides accurate analysis of the project scope in order to convey this information to the assigned pursuit team to ascertain bid strategy and pricing.
- Accurately identifies the types of subcontractors necessary to complete any given project with the understanding of the work scope and location of the project.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating pricing.
- Evaluates, coordinates, collaborates with suppliers and / or subcontractors pricing to ensure they have included a complete scope of work.
- Actively works with the business development team to design successful bid strategies.
