Position: Experienced Bread Baker
Location: Market 360, Newhaven CT
Schedule: Full-time, Early Morning Shifts
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, including sourdough, baguettes, whole grain, and specialty loaves
- Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to our high production standards
- Monitor ingredient inventory and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the bakery team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of professional bread baking experience (artisan bakery or high-end grocery store preferred)
- Strong understanding of fermentation, shaping, proofing, and scoring techniques
- Ability to work early morning shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
- Passion for baking and attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
