Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. As a Florist, you will play a vital role in designing and arranging floral displays for various occasions, ensuring that every arrangement meets our high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise in floral design, along with your ability to communicate effectively with customers, will help create memorable experiences for our clients.
Duties
- Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for various events and occasions, including weddings, funerals, and corporate events.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that suit their needs while providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory by stocking flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, including work areas and display cases.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
- Provide advice on plant care, gardening tips, and lawn care to customers as needed.
- Stay updated on floral design trends and techniques to enhance creativity in arrangements.
Experience
- Previous experience in floral design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills are required; multilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse clientele.
- A background in gardening or lawn care is advantageous for providing comprehensive customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
