Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of a Pharmacist, including interpreting, filling, and refilling prescriptions; reviewing clinical aspects of prescriptions; maintaining up-to-date patient profiles; and verifying accurate medications/durable medical equipment are received by patients.
- Review and analyze business metrics to contribute to action plans that improve outcomes.
- Complete required audits and paperwork.
- Provide direct supervision and coaching to Team Members, following proper guidelines.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment for all Team Members.
- Administer immunizations and participate in clinical services to optimize patient and company outcomes.
- Mentor and train new Team Members in the Pharmacy.
- Lead and execute Company initiatives and programs.
- Remain informed about new drugs, therapies, and developments in the pharmacy industry.
- Maintain professional competency and service skills.
- Advocate for positive change in the pharmacy profession to improve, advance, and expand patient care and Company performance.
- Build professional rapport with outside partners, including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, industry representatives, and vendors.
- Oversee and contribute to the safe and efficient dispensing of patient orders, following quality assurance policy and procedures.
- Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding patient needs.
- Demonstrate adherence to Company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations through example and coaching.
- Manage inventories by tracking daily reports, overseeing physical inventory counts, and ordering medications and supplies to meet patient requirements and maximize profits.
- Work with retail Team Members to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee staff selection, training, development, performance, recognition, and empowerment to engage Team Members and improve department services.
- Maintain a neat and sterile work environment to comply with Company, local, state, and federal government requirements.
