Anti-Trafficking Resident Assistant – Part-Time

Project Light is a special anti-trafficking program of the Raleigh Dream Center that provides a safe place and after-care for victims of human trafficking.

As Resident Assistant, you will oversee household operations and resident care during weekend evening activities at the safe home.

This is a part-time evening/weekend shift position in direct service and is an in-residence position. Hours are 5pm to 8am overnight shift (either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) partnered with a second resident assistant.

Here are some of the things you’ll be doing:

• Provide care to residents (including meals, general health, and other needs) and make decisions in emergency situations
• Manage the weekend and evening household schedule
• Oversee weekend evening volunteer activities when scheduled
• Complete appropriate documentation of resident case files and staff communication
• Build relationships with residents and encourage growth and goals (in collaboration with the safe home staff team)
• Be present and available for emotional and spiritual encouragement and guidance
• Implement medical protocol in emergency situations and conduct ER transportation when needed
• Maintain a stable environment and facilitate conflict resolution
• Implement trauma-informed corrective conversations and redirection where needed while keeping household physical and emotional safety in mind
